One of my favorite applications is Mobbler, Mobbler is a free app compatible with the Nokia E71 and E71x. With this free app lets you listen to free music on your device, there are thousands of songs and you can even listen to the favorite songs of your friends! Mobbler is a ”veteran” application, it has been around for now a long time; but was updated and is ready to download!
The new Mobbler has improved graphics, and overall stability. Plus, a sleep timer has been added so Mobbler turns automatically off and stops wasting battery when one has fallen asleep.

The Nokia E71 is a very elegant device, afterall, it was made for business people, hence, the ”Eseries. But anyway, there are plenty of regular users (like me) that also use the Nokia E71 not for business, but for media and having fun.
I have been looking for ”newer” more modern looking themes for the E71, and I have found a very cool one. This is a free blue theme with touch icons for the Nokia E71, it is called ”XpressRockMusic” and looks just amazing.

The photo gallery of the Nokia E71 is functional but very boring, it does not have cool effects or eye candy like in other phones. Well, luckly, that can be fixed by installing another photo gallery created and made by Nokia itself; it is called Nokia Photo Browser.
This app was first made for touch screen devices, but as the result was so cool; Nokia made it for S60 3rd Ed devices as well. 1) My first question is – WHAT can the E71x do on the AT&T network that the unlocked E71 NAM can’t? What are the most significant advantages of using the E71 NAM on the AT&T network. I see reference to being able to take advantage of 3G system speeds with the E71x. Not with the E71 NAM???
2) There is a great deal of discussion about which “data or PDA” plan to use with either phone on AT&T, as well as, the use of Wifi, which both phones have. Having looked at AT&T pricing, I see the $15 difference. However, I’m not sure what each plan variant gives you exactly “what” with the E71x and E71, respectively. Can you clarify?
3) And, subsequently, how does Wifi affect the choice of one or the other of these plans? I understand that you can use Wifi with the phone in hotspots (or on a home wireless network, for that matter).
4) EMAIL: I understand that you can access web based mail via the internet obtained by accessing Wifi or through the repective AT&T plan. For email from my ISP POP3 account (or corporate exchange, but more importantly, the former) how do the E71x and E71 NAM with the respective AT&T data plans work? Claification of this will probably also clarify data plan selection AND influence the financial decision about which phone to purchase.
5) Finally, since I have had CDMA phones for a long time, how does the actual discussion with AT&T go to obtain the requisite SIM card and month to month phone pla, if you have the unlocked Nokia E71 NAM, to get the optimum use of the phone with their network capabilities?
If you could help with clarifications with these specific questions, I’d greatly appreciate it. Their not intuitive necessarily to a relatively experienced user.

Twitter is a great free internet service, with it you can connect in real time with friends and family; you can share what you are thinking and what you are doing; even pictures and videos can be shared on Twitter almost immediately. You can even get interesting news by following your favorite news portal like CNN or even me to get updates on Nokia related stuff!
Anyway, we have seen now different ways to use twitter on a Nokia E71 and E71x, but we still haven’t talked about Gravity, the best Twitter client for Nokia Mobile phones. Gravity is not free, it is 8Usd but it is completely worth it. You can have multiple accounts, you can upload pics instantly, and has by far the best looking user interface ever of any Nokia app for mobile phones. The Nokia E71 has a pretty decent camera, with 3.2 Megapixels and Autofocus, the E71 can take beautiful pictures. Although there is of course some minor problems, like the purple tint on some low light pictures, the E71 generally does a good job.
I recently discovered that there is a group on Flickr that uploads pictures taken with the Nokia E71 only, so you can go ahead and see pics taken with the E71, and upload pictures taken with your E71. Take a look here: E71 Pool

Yesterday we saw a leaked video from the E71 successor, the new Nokia E72. Well now the Nokia E72 is official! It was announced by Nokia today and it is an upgrade to the Nokia E71. The E72 will be available late 3Q 2009 for 350 Euro, that is way sooner than expected. The official specifications of the E72 were also revealed, it will have a normal audio plug to use any pair of headphones, it will also have a 5 Megapixel camera and of course GPS and other standard features. But the most important and innovative feature of the Nokai E72 is the optical Navi Key, which lets you scroll easier between menus and emails. I am very happy with the E72, it is just a wonderful upgrade to the E71. Watch the video below:
The Nokia E71 turned one year this month, and seems that Nokia is already getting ready to release a successor for the Nokia E71. Today a video leaked where a Nokia E72 was shown, it looks very similar to the Nokia E71 and it will be its ssuccessor. This phone is still away from being released, probably 6 more months but more likely more. The new Nokia E72 has a 5 Megapixel camera, an optical trackball and noise cancellation technology.
