Another great theme from my favorite S60 themer, Tehkseven. The Rose theme is as its name says, is a Rose theme. The theme comes with three different icon styles including ”seven style”, ”ovi style” and of course default style. The theme has lots of cool features, it is 100%SVG; meaning that there won’t be any pixelated or blurred images around the interface.
The Rose theme is perfect for those ladies that have an E71 and want to personalizate it more, make it more ”girly” and ”feminine”. It could work too pretty well as a small gift for a sister, mother or girlfriend using an S60 device.

Nokia released some months ago a service called ”Files on Ovi”, this service although brilliant, was not free. With Files on Ovi the user could access files on a computer anytime with just a Nokia mobile phone, and there was also another option that allowed the user to store the files online so the files were available to be retrieved from a phone even with your computer at home being offline. The Ovi Files service was very nice, I used it for the 60 day trial and absolutelyy loved it, however, it was not good enough for me to spend a couple of dollars in it.
The good news is that now Files on Ovi iss free!! And the previous users that paid for the service will get a refund! I am very happy with this news and really have to accept that Nokia did a great job by making the service free. Many people (like me) like to change the theme from their phone very often, I usually change the theme on my device twice a month, and I love to look for new themes and install them since it feels like having a new phone all over again.

We already brought you the good news about the new firmware update for the Nokia E71, but what we did not know about this firmware update is that is improved the quality of the E71 camera! Before the update, the Nokia E71 had a camera that produced a purple tint all over the picture. The camera was excellent outdoors but was fairly bad indoors, when the objective was poorly lighted. But seems that the camera was updated with the new firmware, and now the purple tint is gone! The best part is that there are pictures to demonstrate it, here is the ”before”
As you can see, the purple tint is obvious. But with the new firmware, the purple tint is gone. To update your Nokia E71 go to: nokia.com/softwareupdate. Here is the ”after”
Each time that the Nokia E71 gets a software update, it gets better; the stability is improved, sometimes features are added and of course bugs are fixed. The good news are that Nokia just released a new firmware for the E71, the bad news are that NAM E71′s still have to wait!
The new firmware update for the E71 is minor, meaning that it won’t radically change how the E71 operates, however, there are still interesting updates:

There are great news for those Skyfire fans like me, Skyfire gets another update after the out-of-beta version 1.0! The new update is not a major one, it just fixes slightly the stability and other small things around the application. So far I can tell that the zooming is faster, and the blurry parts fix quicker than in the previous version. To download the latest Skyfire, I advice to remove the older one and then go to get.skyfire.com to download the new one.
If you don’t know what Skyfire is, and have a Nokia E71 or E71x, you are missing a lot! Skyfire is a free web browser that lets you have the full web on your phone. For example, if you ever tried to see a video on a site, and the script was not supported by the Nokia browser, Skyfire will show it without a problem. With Skyfire you can also have handy shortcuts to social media like Facebook and Twitter, again, to get the latest version of Skyfire just go to get.skyfire.com.
