Nice idea, but now a cup holder is monopolized! Also, looking down at the cup holder long enough to comprehend the screen takes longer than looking down to grab a drink (which can actually be done by feel). Thus, carmakers do not usually put a cup holder right in your line of vision while driving. I prefer a dash or windshield mount so I don’t have to avert my eyes for more than a split second while navigating.
