The E71 supports a very useful application called Nokia Multiscanner, the E71′s camera is designed to take better Close-Up pictures than any other phone, that is why the results on the E71 are drastically better. With the Multiscanner you can scan a Business Card and then your E71 will automatically recognize the info and will save each part of data in the correct spot on the contact profile, even the title of the person is recognized, if the card says President then the Multiscanner will also detect that and put it on the Contact’s info.
The Multiscanner also scans full text documents that you can edit later in the QuickOffice Text Editor, it is a really useful application almost everywhere, take a look at this pictures.
In the example above the lightning was terrible, I just could get a little lamp to improve the situation, but in the day ligth I get MUCH better results, almost with no mistakes. i tried downloading it frm d link provided..directly on my cellphone..bt it is being downloaded as a note..n when u open it..it is full of circles n nothing else..my built in scanner gt corrupted during software update from nokia..

Please I have a problem. I formatted my memory card and the scanner software that came with my E71 got erased. I have searched the net so that I can downlaod another copy but to no avail.
Any help will be cherished as I need the software.

dude. My stupid E71 thinks this is a text file and opens it with notes and shows some weird characters and boxes. So it won’t install, help please
