OK, so the first thing you do is install x-plore, from herehttp://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=xplore

Than after you install x-plore, run it and go to menu->tools->configuration and select the check box next to everything that says “Show”, including system applications found towards the bottom of the list.

Than just go Back and you should see Z: disk. Open it go to system->data->midp2->preinstall and there you will find most of the items in the Games & Apps folder. Here is a complete list of the ones you will find and what application they apply to:

So scroll up and down to select the app you want to uninstall. (Do this to the icons that look like ZIP folders and not all application names.)

Press the left soft key to go to menu->file->open by system and now it will ask to install it over the same one already installed but now install it to your memory card.

After you installed all of them to your memory card, just pop the memory card to your pc or other phone and format it.

Vola! they are gone. However I still haven’t figured out how to remove the SHOP icons. Still searching.

You can remove a lot of apps, but be carefull to not remove some apps that you might need in the future, maybe MobiTV is usefful for some people as well as yellow pages. So, were you able to delete all the crapware ATT put in your phone?

I then searched for a solution and I found a pretty good one! As you probably noticed, the E71 does not have a regular 3.5mm Audio Jack, instead it has a 2.5mm Audio Jack which is a pain if you like to hear music. There are some adapters available but really… They look awful. Solution??  A Bluetooth Headset!!! No wires, no Audio Jack, No worries!!

The BH-604 are Bluetooth A2DP compatible, this means that you can have your E71 on your pocket or even in other room and you will be able to manage the volume, the song, play/pause/stop/forward/rewind. Pretty much evrything, The BH-604 also double as Hands-Free so you can have a nice stereo conversation.

The BH-604 produce a sound with a very high quality, the sound is deep and bass sounds just great. When I change them for my regular earbuds it takes me a while to get used again to the low bass and not-deep sound, the BH-604 is HI-FI.  Another great thing about the 604′s is that they are recharrgable, with just 10 minutes of charging you get 10 HOURS OF Talk Time!! Unbelievable. They also bring a nice pouch.

In conclusion the BH-604′s are the best companion for the E71 when you are a music freak! I am a music freak and let me tell you, this ones are the best ones I have tried!

So going back to the topic, the E71 has a nice keyboard, but there is another option for power users, it is called the Nokia SU-8W. The Nokia SU-8W is afull computer sized Bluetooth foldable portable QWERTY keyboard. When folded the SU-8W fits easily in any pocket and its weight is considerable to take it anywhere. With the SU-8W ht E71 becomes a full computer, the experience is great and I found the SU-8W very efficient to complete multiple tasks, I even write full posts and articles with just my E71 and the SU-8W

The SU-8W has a S60 button for fast menu access, a Messaging button and the D-Pad as well as both soft keys, the Nokia SU-8W can control the E71 entirely, there is no need to touch the device once that those are paired. The Nokia SU-8W also has a really cool POP OUT stand to stand the E71. The stand is really useful for other tasks as well, for exapmple to leaave it on your desk or your night table to put your E71 as an alarm clock. You definitevely should consider a SU-8W, it has worked great for me and makes the experience more DESKTOP-LIKE. Enjoy this pictures!

That happens a lot, and most people think that after the scratch on the screen is made, it is made and there is no turn back. Well there is a solution, in fact there is a solution even if you scratch your E71 everywhere. The solution I found is really easy, change the whole case (housing) of the phone and done! it is like brand new again. To change the housing you don’t need a technical center or a tech savvy person, just anyone can do it with pacience and care.  The process is really easy, basically you take away the old housing and put the new one.  In fact you can even change the color, if you have the Grey E71 you can put the white E71 housing and done!!
