Nokia, one of the world leading manufacturer of mobile devices releases phones for corporate use. E71 and E71x are two of the Smart Phones Nokia has to offer. Both phones are designated for email services such as Mail for Exchange, Nokia Messaging (E71) and XpressMail (E71x). It has the same mono block style having a fully functional QWERTY keyboard. E71x is release exclusively for AT&T use while the other is for any network provider.
Being a SmartPhones, it has numerous services. It has a wide array of application for everyone’s need. It has a GPS functionality for navigation – AT&T Navigation (E71x) and Nokia Maps (E71). Possible synchronization to the computer using the PC Suite application. Capable as well in Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). More application awaiting to be down loadable from the Ovi store.
These devices have most similarity on the physical aspect. You can just notice the difference that E71x have AT&T Sticker while the former has none. As well as the front camera, E71 has that. Internally, it has also great difference. They both run with Symbian 60 software however, E71 has FP1 and E71x is a FP2.
Having a wide spread of usage, indeed, these phones are really a must have one.

One of my favorite applications is Mobbler, Mobbler is a free app compatible with the Nokia E71 and E71x. With this free app lets you listen to free music on your device, there are thousands of songs and you can even listen to the favorite songs of your friends! Mobbler is a ”veteran” application, it has been around for now a long time; but was updated and is ready to download!
The new Mobbler has improved graphics, and overall stability. Plus, a sleep timer has been added so Mobbler turns automatically off and stops wasting battery when one has fallen asleep.

The Nokia E71 has a pretty decent camera, with 3.2 Megapixels and Autofocus, the E71 can take beautiful pictures. Although there is of course some minor problems, like the purple tint on some low light pictures, the E71 generally does a good job.
I recently discovered that there is a group on Flickr that uploads pictures taken with the Nokia E71 only, so you can go ahead and see pics taken with the E71, and upload pictures taken with your E71. Take a look here: E71 Pool
Yesterday we saw a leaked video from the E71 successor, the new Nokia E72. Well now the Nokia E72 is official! It was announced by Nokia today and it is an upgrade to the Nokia E71. The E72 will be available late 3Q 2009 for 350 Euro, that is way sooner than expected. The official specifications of the E72 were also revealed, it will have a normal audio plug to use any pair of headphones, it will also have a 5 Megapixel camera and of course GPS and other standard features. But the most important and innovative feature of the Nokai E72 is the optical Navi Key, which lets you scroll easier between menus and emails. I am very happy with the E72, it is just a wonderful upgrade to the E71. Watch the video below:
The Nokia E71 turned one year this month, and seems that Nokia is already getting ready to release a successor for the Nokia E71. Today a video leaked where a Nokia E72 was shown, it looks very similar to the Nokia E71 and it will be its ssuccessor. This phone is still away from being released, probably 6 more months but more likely more. The new Nokia E72 has a 5 Megapixel camera, an optical trackball and noise cancellation technology.
