E71 App: SkyFire!! Now for everyone.

By | November 26, 2008

Update:  Now Skyfire is available WorldWide!!

The ultimate and by far best mobile browser in the mobile scene is the SkyFire web browser.  It was launched in a private beta January this year and only a few people could install it on WinMo devices and then in S60 devices.  But now SkyFire launched a new version, and made it open to everyone who wants to use it for free.

First of all, this browser is not like the built in browser, or Opera Mini, or any other mobile browser. SkyFire is a browser that supports ALL technologies including AJAX, FLASH etc… and can load almost any webpage with full content. In other words the built in browser does around 75% the things of a desktop browser can do, but Skyfire does  98% of the things. Almost any heavy website such as ESPN can be loaded in your E71 in just a few seconds. In my opinion SkyFire is way better than the built in S60 browser because it is faster, offers more content, is easier to use and is more effective, you definitively should try it. Follow this easy steps

To install SkyFire in your E71, just go to www.SkyFire.com directly on your E71 and follow the easy steps, if some weird complication on the installing process comes up we are here to help you!

I was unimpressed. I found skyfire to be pretty slow at loading pages, the page would come up but be out of focus or blury until it loaded properly, A problem I dont have with opera mini. I know it lacks some of the abilities of skyfire but for my money opera mini is a much better browsing experience.

For me works perfectly and in my E71 works even better than on my N85. You should update your E71 to the latest firmware and then reinstall again by going to get.skyfire.com. In fact, yesterday Skyfire was improved

Hey, I just isntalled it on my AT&T E71x both via the internal browser download, and then tried again via Nokia’s PC Suite isntaller.

I open it up, it claims to be “Starting Up”, then dissapears completely.

Yes, latest version of firmware and Skyfire right from their site today.

    Thanks in advance,
