I have the E71x and I love it so much more than my previous Blackberry. I was pretty much going to get an iPhone but I still had some reservations. I was lucky enough to speak with a higher-up at At&t about my needs and the features I was looking for and the E71x was hands down the best choice, so glad I didn’t get the iPhone. I have yet to find a single app, feature, or service that is exclusive to the E71 that dosen’t function with the E71x. If I find a site or search through the ovi store and the E71x isn’t listed I simply choose the phone closet to the E71x (usually an E71 or E63) and install without any difficulity. Everything (so far) from Symbian s60 seems to be back compatible with s40. Despite it being tied to At&t all of the functionality is present including Nokia Mail. I simply uninstalled Xpress Mail and signed up for Nokia messaging, works like a champ. I only hope At&t picks up another Nokia Smartphone preferably an N series as they discontinued the E71x in October, so if you’re on the hunt for one you’ll have to do some digging.
