   hi guys,

   I want to know if mapping softwares like yahoomaps or googlemaps will work on E71 without a data plan. I don't need the GPS function but having just the maps would be great. Any ideas... thanks

   Google maps pulls data from the google servers, so it needs either a wifi connection or a data plan.

   You can use the built in Nokia maps application and download a local copy of the maps, and use it without a data plan (the local copy would be downloaded from your PC and transfered to the phone)
