The Nokia E71 is an amazing device to use with shortcuts, it has plenty of buttons in its face allowing the user to launch any app really fast. In fact, there is an unknown feature on the E71 where you can program the 4 keys around the dpad to open something in long press. But there is an application that definitively masters shortcuts, it is called ”Cute Keys” and it is totally amazing! And free!
For example, imagine if you could write an SMS to Samantha by just pressing @ and S. By just pressing this two buttons the E71 will open a new SMS that you can write to Samantha! Or open a specific file like song, pic or video by just pressing two predefined keys, or an app, or call a specific contact or even open a specific website! This app is just amazing, it changes the way you use your device becuase everything is done faster than ever, plus, the E71 is a great device to do this because of the quantity of buttons and the fact that they are available without flipping or opening anything. To download Cute Keys just head here: cutekeys_s60_3_v_1_1, tell us what you think and if this app improved your E71 experience!

When I try to download this file to my E71, the phone stalls. I have to remove the battery to restart it.
Installed it and it simply doesn’t work on my E71. Whatever shortcut keys I choose it just doesn’t work. Autostart is on and settings seem fine but whenever I press the chosen keys on the home screen nothing happens. Useless. It’s also NOT free – a 10 day license.
I wanted to second the fact that it IS NOT free.
The author does not mention that it is free.
Try Jbak Taskman – I just discovered it yesterday and it is freaking incredible. Best of all, it is FREE. The worst part was that I found the app like 5 minutes after I purchased CuteKeys. Also, I put together a list of all the apps for E71x on http://www.e71xapps.com if anyone is interested.
What is that theme from the screenshot? I must get that!
Dear forumERS,
sorry to bother you with a question which has probably been asked many many times i guess…but apparently no solutions yet (at least: as far as i red until now).
I switched from Nokia Xpress Music 5800 to Nokia E71 and the backup with PC suite worked quite ok for contacts, settings and calendar. SMS were imported as well, but the phone shows phone numbers instead of names as senders in the inbox folder (= i see the phone number but not the name). However, in the outbox folder, the same phone number is correctly recognized and linked to the contact (= i see the name of the recipient). But if i read the content of the inbox folder from PC Suite, i see the names correctly. In addition, the phone doesn’t import the content of the archive folder. What’s wrong with my cell phone and/or backup and/or PC Suite? Can anybody help?
Thank you in advance for your attention!
ya it really works in mine……cool apps..thanx…keep it up…
